  • 2 Pcs Bread
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 4 Slices TINE® Norwegian Gouda Slices
  • 2 Pcs of Sliced Ham
  • 1 Tbsp Butter for the bread
  • 2 Pcs Spring Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Butter for cooking
  • 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
Here is how you do it

1. Spread the mustard on the inside of the bread. Dijon-mustard has a sharp taste that goes well with ham & cheese, but you can use whichever mustard you prefer (or skip it if you prefer that).

2. Add the ham & cheese to the bread.

3. Spread a thin layer of butter on the outsides of the bread, for a beautiful golden color, and a crispy texture.

4. Heat the pan. Add one tablespoon of butter and one tablespoon of oil, and cook the bread over medium heat. Grilling the sandwich on medium heat will ensure that the cheese melts without the bread getting burnt. Make sure to turn the sandwich frequently.

An additional tip...

When only a few minutes remain, you can add spring onion to the pan. Cook them for a few minutes until tender and slightly burnt, creating a taste and consistency that goes perfect with the grilled cheese.
