Responsibility, privacy and debate on TINE's websites

Personal information

TINE processes all personal data such as name, address, telephone number or other personal information provided in connection with competitions, newsletters, marketing, registrations, orders and other, in accordance with applicable personal data legislation in the country in which the personal information is submitted.

TINE will delete the personal data when TINE has handled your inquiry, fulfilled an agreement or TINE's legal obligation, or when you withdraw your consent by contacting us as explained below.

TINE does not hand over your personal data to other third parties unless you have consented to this.

Cookies

To enable your web browser to remember your preferences, TINE uses "cookies". A cookie is a small text file sent from a website and stored on the user's computer.

Cookies indicate to TINE that you have visited TINE's website previously and which pages you viewed. TINE never uses cookies to store personal information about you, but merely to make your visit simpler or to keep track of the number of visitors. TINE has chosen to use cookies to, among other things, store information from your first visit to www.tine.com            

You can amend the settings in the web browser on your computer so that you receive a message before a website sends a cookie to your PC. This allows you to choose whether to accept or decline the cookie. You can also specify that you do not want to receive any cookies at all. Since different web browsers function in different ways, you can search in the help menu to find the settings for your particular web browser. 

If you choose not to accept any cookies, you can still visit TINE's web pages. The only difference is that the website will not remember your personal settings. 
 

Discussion rules at tine.no

Debating on tine.no should be engaging and enjoyable. TINE's rules for good tone in the debate are:

  • Be objective, polite and show common courtesy in discussions, even when you disagree with the other party/parties.
  • We will not permit bullying, persecution, harassment, defamation, incitement to illegal acts or submission of other unlawful statements.
  • You must not disclose personal or sensitive information about anyone.
  • You must comply with Norwegian copyright rules and copyright rules in the country where the discussion is published. Indicate sources when using quotes.
  • Links in discussion posts must be relevant to the topic being discussed.
  • TINE has editorial responsibility for content published, but you are also personally responsible for ensuring that content in posts does not violate Norwegian law or the law in the country where the discussion is published.
  • TINE is at liberty to remove posts without justification or notice, and to remove the comment function from www.tine.com
